Drafting the new Interreg Alpine Space Programme 2028+

What is this survey about?

Thank you for your interest in the future of the Alpine Space!

The Interreg Alpine Space Programme (ASP) supports transnational cooperation between Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Slovenia and Switzerland.

As part of the preparation of the next programming period (2028+), a Territorial Analysis identified 19 transnational challenges, which were then grouped into 4 Thematic Focus Areas, each with a set of first ideas for possible measures for transnational cooperation.

What do we want to hear from you?

We would like to hear your views on whether these challenges and focus areas capture the right topics for the ASP 2028+, and how they could be improved. Your input will feed into the further development of the programme.

There are no right or wrong answers – we are interested in your personal perspective.

How does the survey work?

The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. Questions marked (optional) may be skipped. Questions marked with * are mandatory. The Survey contains Sections 0, A, B and C.

You find an accompanying background document (Territorial Analysis) as well as translations into French and Italian on the website: https://www.alpine-space.eu/online-survey-2028/.

Important to know

Please note that the Thematic Focus Areas are not a mandatory element for the Interreg programme chapter. They are used in the programming process to describe the intervention logic and derive the measures.

The content presented in the survey and accompanying document – including the challenges, Thematic Focus Areas and initial considerations on measures – derives from the work of the experts supporting the programming process.

In particular, the proposed Focus Areas and measures have not yet been discussed, prioritised or approved by the Programming Task Force or the national delegations. They therefore do not represent the future programme architecture, but are intended to support reflection and will be further discussed and developed throughout the ongoing programming process.
